The Furniture Warehouse is offering an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Furniture Repair Technician.
We are currently looking for a Reliable and Energetic full-time Furniture Repair Technician. Come be part of the growing team! Applicants MUST have prior work experience in the repair of upholstery, wood, and leather products to be considered and pass a BACKGROUND CHECK .
The Furniture Repair Tech is responsible for the repair of damaged furniture. They are responsible for repairing furniture for upcoming deliveries/pickups, salvaging parts from deleted stock and for assessing all returned furniture and parts. The Repair Tech is also responsible for ensuring that highest quality results are achieved.
What You'll Do:
• Loading/unloading furniture with dollies
• Evaluate and diagnose unrepairable furniture
• Repair damaged furniture when possible
• Responsible for completing damage forms and if parts are needed, give to Angelica
• Maintain clean work area at all times
• Ensure outbound furniture does not have any damages or flaws
• Inspects and performs minor maintenance on equipment
• Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled
• Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
• Knowledge of furniture repair techniques (woodworking, upholstery, and leather)
• Capable of standing in one spot for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift between and 10 and 50 pounds
• Ability to read and follow written product instructions
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment, withstanding climate change
• Must demonstrate proper lifting techniques
• Must be able to lift, push, stoop, twist, & bend.
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Ability to pass background check
